Summer.

About that...

My finals are all done and over. Think I did decently, so no worries bout that. I'm currently in Michigan again, poking around with family and friends - and getting things puzzled out for the remainder of the summer.

If anyone wants to offer any advice on any particular place, things to see, people to talk to, anything along those lines, feel free! Advice is advice, and I'll take all I can get. I don't really dig the tourist thing, that being said, there are some things you just need to see. Sorta like the Mona Lisa, so at the very least you can say you've seen it and be done with it.

Next week I'll be heading out to Chicago, and then to Frankfurt. From there... pretty much a haphazard exploration of the country with a train pass, a backpack, and a good pair of shoes. Revisiting some old places, checking out some new ones, and I'll be eating bread and water while I'm at it. Darmstadt, Michelstadt, Kassel, Dresden, Potsdam, Berlin, Cologne are all on the menu. I'll be visiting with my bestest best friend while I'm out there, so it should be even more lovely than last time around. I'll be packing as much in as I can in a week and a half. I don't sleep much, like to walk, like to see new things and meet new people and learn new places, so... well.

Then out to Brussels, wandering around there, then across the Chunnel to London. From there, wandering round England whilly nilly for a while. Not really sure which cities I'll visit. Eventually, I need to end up in Ireland - I've got a ferry voucher and someone waiting for me on the other side. If people could suggest particular cities to visit, I'm very flexible, and open to ideas.

Ireland. I'll be spending a bit more than two months here with The Boyfriend, working and just generally having a good time exploring the places and cultures and peoples I find [link] Somewhat doubt I'll be getting bored despite all the sitting tight in one country and all.

Mid August, flying out to San Diego. Might be doing some hiking in the High Sierras, though we don't have all the logistics puzzled out quite yet. Otherwise, late August we'll be driving up the California coast and on up to Portland and... another year at Reed.
