Well, we've arrived at Reed, and I get to move back into my beloved dorm once 9AM rolls around. Lot of complex feelings about how Reed has changed ([link]), but I'll leave it at that for now.

Classes... I'm out of the sciences. That being said, I miss geology and physics and I know that stalking Wikipedia isn't going to cut it for me intellectually, but I've got a better idea of what I want out of this college and spending my every moment in problem sets ain't it. I'm still not sure of my major, or for that matter, what I want to do in life, but I figure that taking Russian and reading Inferno and firespinning might give me an idea. I'll learn and I'll explore and I'll see what I discover about myself.

With regards to photography... I've been shooting loads. I mean, I've just been covering some of the most beautiful terrain in the country over the last week, Sierra Nevadas, California coast... and I've spent most of my summer in such beauty while abroad... but I just don't feel the urge to go through photos at the moment. Hence the continuing stall on submissions. We'll see how long this lasts for. Whenever I feel the need to return to Europe I'll start by going through the photos.

I won't be stopping photography here at Reed, either. Remember all those colorful fall pictures from last year? [link] [link] [link] Yeah. More of that. Except better. No reason not to improve, right?
